$24.5 Million Extension Award Received

We are pleased to announce that the Feed the Future Innovation Lab Collaborative Research on Grain Legumes, known as the Dry Grain Pulses Collaborative Research Support Program (Pulse CRSP) from 2007 to 2012 and now to be called the Legume Innovation Lab, has been awarded a $24.5 million extension for 4.5 years, through September 29, 2017.

Legume Innovation Lab Directors Interviewed at 2012 World Food Prize

Dr. Irv Widders, director, and Dr. Cynthia Donovan, deputy director,  Legume Innovation Lab, were interviewed at the 2012 World Food Prize in Des Moines, Iowa, in December 2012, on how grain legumes contribute to Feed the Future Strategic Initiatives. Link to Video.

External Advisory Panel

An External Advisory Panel (EAP) will be convened ad hoc for review of proposals and to advise the management office on the selection of projects to constitute a quality and coherent portfolio of subawards for the Pulse CRSP. The EAP will not be a permanent advisory group for the five-year duration of the grant but will be convened following the issuance of an RFP and the receipt of proposals by the MO.
 
The EAP will be comprised of three to five individuals depending upon the scope of the RFP. EAP members will be selected with input and concurrence from the CTO based on the following criteria:
  1. No conflicts of interest with institutions identified in proposals for subawards
  2. Recognized expertise in technical areas relevant to Topical Areas in the RFP
  3. Knowledge of international agriculture development issues
  4. Experience in agriculture research administration.
